- Combine all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and process until the smoothie reaches the desired consistency.

Strawberries and mango are a good combo for a smoothie. I did add some crushed ice because we like our smoothies thick, and used vanilla-flavored Kefir instead of the yogurt. Nice breakfast today.-27 Feb 2016
Green Smoothies: Mix & Match Ingredient List for Your Inspiration!
Certain fruits and vegetables can mix with the color of green leafy vegetables and turn what was supposed to be a vibrant green smoothie into a brown monster smoothie. The color of the smoothie won't affect the flavor, though, and even the vitamins and minerals will remain intact. However, we do eat with our eyes as well as our palate, and therefore a brown smoothie may end up being thrown down the kitchen sink, no matter how tasty and nutritious it is. To save you trial and error, we have created a Mix-and-Match Ingredient Chart which can act as an easy-to-use green smoothie builder. The ingredient lists it contains should help you pick green smoothie ingredients that will yield beautiful green smoothies!
Mix And Match Smoothie Ingredients
Instructions:
Blend 1/4 cup Liquid ingredient + 1/2 cup Creamy ingredient + 1 cup Fruit + enough Flavor to taste + 2 to 3 teaspoons of Nutrition Bonus.
Choose from these ingredients:
LIQUID : milk, juice, tea, soy milk
CREAMY : banana, yogurt, tofu, low-fat ice cream
FRUIT : berries, grapes, stone fruit, melons
FLAVOR : mint, ginger, cocoa powder, cinnamon
NUTRITION BONUS : instant breakfast powder, peanut butter, cottage cheese, almond butter

Recipe 3: Cherry Mixed Berry Smoothie
Cherries help to control most inflammatory conditions, improve your memory, and also help you sleep better. They also regulate blood pressure for diabetic individuals and lower the risk of acquiring heart diseases and certain cancers.
They are low-calorie fruits that are rich in fiber.
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 3/4 cup cold vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup frozen white grapes
- 1 cup frozen dark sweet cherries
- 1/2 cup fresh cherries for garnishing
- Mints
Prep Instructions
Mix all the ingredients except mint leaves and the fresh cherries, and blend till smooth. Serve immediately. Garnish with mint leaves and fresh cherries.

Hey I am new here. I’m not sure if this is the proper place to post this, but I’m wondering if anyone has tried Athletic Greens for their green drink? I’m seeing that most either taste overpowering or cause my stomach to churn.
Edward, thanks for taking the time to comment. I’ll let any of our readers chime in, but I don’t have any experience with that product. In general, as an employee of Virginia Cooperative Extension, I wouldn’t make any recommendations for specific brands in any case (see below). If you don’t like the taste and it’s bothering your digestive system, I think it might not be the best product for you, no matter how what it is. If you want to keep trying it in your smoothies though, I would recommend cutting back on how much you’re adding to your smoothies – it will not add as strong of a taste and might sit on your stomach a little better, too.
